He2 Plus Washer Door Locked

Remove the lower front panel from the front of the washer by removing the 3 screws in the bottom of it.

To manually unlock and open the door remove the bottom front service panel reach up into the cabinet and pull down on the manual release tab on the bottom of the door lock switch assembly. Check for foreign objects in the door lock receiver. Kenmore he2 frontload washer. Check the two ground switches are pressed correctly by the toe and rear panels.

Then reach inside the washer by the door lock and pull the manual release tab on the bottom of the lock. Unplug the washer to completely disconnect electrical power. Carefully reach up the inside of the front panel and pull the release tab on the bottom of the door lock assembly. Plug in washer or reconnect power.

Disconnect the power cord from the power source. Timer does not decrement water does not enter. Start cycle causes door to lock but then nothing more. Remove the lower toe panel by removing the screws along the bottom edge.

Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects. Check all the green wires ground harnesses system are notbroken or wires detached. Clear any debris or objects from the receiver. Then pull the door open.

Remove lower cover and drain by opening the pump filter. Reach up behind the front panel and pull down on a pull ring that is attached to the bottom of the door lock mechanism to manually unlock the door. If the door lock receiver is clear check the wire harness connections between the door lock switch assembly and the main electronic control board.
